Quadriporticus

The Quadriporticus, located behind the stage of the Grand Theater in Pompeii, is a stunning architectural marvel that has stood the test of time. This large quadrangle is surrounded by 74 Doric columns made of gray Nocera tuff, creating a grand and imposing entrance for spectators attending theatrical shows. Among the findings were richly adorned weapons used in parades before battles, now on display at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. Additionally, the remains of several individuals were unearthed, including four skeletons of slaves near restraints and a group of 18 people in a room, one of whom was a woman adorned with a lavish collection of jewelry.
